2024 Affiliated Society Contest 432 MHz

The final event of the 2023/4 Superleague attracted 106 entries, 12 fewer than last year, with a further 95 stations appearing the logs.

Opinions on propagation varied but, for those in the right position, DX was available especially to France with 41 'F' callsigns worked.  Indeed, the best of the 12 QSOs over 750 km was provided by F5ICN in the far southwest of the country via a contact with M0NVS/P at a distance of 959 km.

This competition often seems to produce predictable results and this year was no exception with the two top scorers in the Local Club, General Club and Single Operator Fixed sections a 'cut and paste' from last year.  It was good to see new names on the podium in the Open section, however.

The Camb-Hams `A' Team lifted the G0ODQ trophy for the 12th time as the highest scoring Affiliated Society and Richard GD8EXI also made it 12 times is a row as the best Single Operator.  In contrast, it was good to receive entries from contest virgins Jason M7FFP, and Andrew, M7RWK.

Congratulations to all the certificate winners.
